With this option you dial 1664 in front of the
number you are calling. You'll need to remember to
dial the full area code, even for local calls (e.g.
1664 01869 238090). All your calls will be billed at
the Equitalk 1664 tariff. Everyone who joins
automatically gets this service, but for an easier
to use service and maximum savings we recommend you
upgrade for free to Equitalk Direct™. |

Equitalk
Direct™ - Simpler to use, Better Savings
With Equitalk Direct™ we are able to give you better
rates and there's no need to dial 1664
or to plug in a box.
Once you let us know you would
like Equitalk Direct™ we contact BT on your behalf and
they set up your local telephone exchange to automatically
route all your calls over the Equitalk network. BT take 10
working days to set this up (we will send you a letter to
confirm the date Equitalk Direct™ will go live). You can cancel Equitalk Direct™ at any time. |

or call 0800 161 3837 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). If you are not

How much can I save with Equitalk Direct™?
There's no charge to be connected to Equitalk Direct™
and unlike BT Together there are no monthly fees (you only
pay for the calls you make). We can give you better rates
than if you dial 1664 to access Equitalk and our Fair Play
Pricing Policy ensures per second billing and no
connection charges. You'll save:
- up to 50% on UK landline calls
- 5% on UK mobile calls
- up to 89% on international calls

Nothing changes with your BT line
with Equitalk Direct™
You keep your BT line and number and continue to pay BT
for line rental. Any problems should be reported to BT and
they will fix it. You will still be able to make calls
over BT by dialling 1280 in front of the number you are
calling.
The following numbers will still be routed via BT: 192,
Operator, Emergency and numbers starting 084404 &
080899. |
Will
Equitalk Direct™ work with my internet access?
Yes.
- Pay as you go (0845) internet access will go through
Equitalk Direct™.
- Calls to ISPs that charge a monthly fee for unmetered
access via 0800 numbers will go via Equitalk Direct (these
will be free) and will continue to go via BT if the access
numbers start 084404 & 080899.
- Equitalk Direct™ works with BT Broadband (voice calls
go via Equitalk and internet continues to go via BT). |
